We will meet inside the church, by the West doors, (entrance at the corner of Broadway and 155th St.). You will learn about the history and art of this magnificent church complex that includes the church, crypt, cloister/garth, & vicarage. A sugested donation of $5 is appreciated.
We offer tours every month and we also provide special tours for groups. You can contact us, Monday thru Thursday 9am-4pm, at 212-283-6200 to arrange for a date and time most convenient for your group.
A tour of Intercession can be a part of a fun and interesting day-tour to little known sites in northern Manhattan. Close to Intercession you can find:
- the Hispanic Society of America with its magnificant treasure of Spanish art is just across the street from Intercession.
- the Morris-Jummell Mansion is north of Intercession a short 10 minute walk.
- the Malcom X & Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center,is also north of Intercession, a 10 minute walk.
Further north you can visit
The closest subway station to Intercession is the number 1 Train at 157th Street and walk two blocks south or the C line at 155th Street and walk two blocks west. The bus number 4 and 5 stop in front of Intercession. The number one will also take you up to The Cloisters.
