2nd Legionnaires' Cluster
in Washington Heights
There is a current cluster of Legionnaires' Disease cases
in Washington Heights, and one of our parishioners
has just been diagnosed with the disease.
If you are experiencing symptoms that can include fever, chills, muscle aches, difficulty breathing, coughing and have been in or around the neighborhood of the Church of the Intercession in the past few weeks, please see a doctor and tell them that you've been in Washington Heights and ask for a test.
Legionnaires is not easily communicated from person to person and it is treatable with a specific antibiotic but it must be diagnosed correctly.
